The Nike Cortez Metallic Bronze is a shimmery, feminine update on a classic athletic shoe.

The Nike Cortez has a rich history -- it was Nike's first-ever track shoe and garnered attention and praise when it was introduced at the 1972 Summer Olympics. In fact, it was the shoe responsible for catapulting the footwear giant to the legendary status it enjoys today. It's also famous for being the shoe worn by Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump in the 1994 Best Picture film.

The design of the classic runner has remained largely unchanged since the 70s. Now, Nike is releasing a variety of new and revived colorways, including this Nike Cortez Metallic Bronze pair. The metallic color update gives the Nike Cortez a more casual, sneaker-like feel, and lends it a touch of girliness that would make the Nike Cortez Metallic Bronze wearable with dresses and skirts.
