The latest version of Yamaha's MusicCast platform is a significant upgrade to its various predecessors as well as the vast majority of competing services in the market. Indeed by the end of this year, the MusicCast-compatible range will include audiovisual receivers, wireless speakers, sound bars as well as powered speakers.

People who use Yamaha MusicCast will be able to wirelessly stream tunes from their Bluetooth-enabled smart devices. That may sound pretty standard, but bear in mind that MusicCast products are also capable of sending Bluetooth streams to speakers and headphones. External audio devices such as TVs, game consoles and hi-fi components can also be connected to the new devices.

Up to 10 MusicCast devices can be controlled using a single iOS or Android app, adding a whole new level of convenience to music streaming.
