The 'Acrobat' multifunctional coat rack is a flexible furniture piece imagined for the home as a way to keep garments and accessories securely stowed in a decidedly stylish manner.
Designed by João Teixeira, the coat rack maintains a tripod-like construction that consists of three metal beams along with a tubular wooden pole that connects them. The hollowed out design of the wooden component offers ample space for garments to be placed or even small essentials to be kept stowed within.
The 'Acrobat' multifunctional coat rack was explained further by Teixeira who said, "Adopting a tripod solution was key to keeping things stylish, dynamic, and sleek. The bent metal tube adds a sense of continuity by welding only on one side, allowing for this gap to be used as a spot to hang scarfs or other [items]. The metal tube tops can also be used to hang clothes or hats without the need for a hanger.”
