Music channels MTV and VIVA have collaborated with PETA Germany for an artistic body paint campaign to raise awareness among young people about animal rights.

VJs and hosts from the popular music channels stripped naked and posed as miserable animals in captivity with the use of creative body paint.

Participants include Sebastian König, Claire Oelkers, Hadnet Tesfai, Jan Köppen, Liza Li, Nina Eichinger, and Ariane Alter.

The campaign recently premiered in Germany’s TV Digital magazine.

Implications - Controversial imagery in advertising is an effective way for businesses to garner media and customer attention. The use of once-taboo topics and images will attract young buyers, and will create consumer curiosity, allowing a business to reach new buyers in a competitive market.

You are very welcome Lianne. Trend Hunter always loves to promote animal and human rights. In fact, we already provide a link to this exact source your url points to. However, I am sure most readers would not understand it in German and would be better off visiting their local PETA portal to learn more. Again, great job on the awareness.

Very true. www.peta.org has information on just about everything you could ever ask regarding an animal friendly lifestyle, for those of us who aren't so multi-lingual.
