Aside from the MINUS 8 watch specifically targeting a particular culture, timezone and thus person, its sleek and bold design will prove surely irresistible to the rest of the world. Inspired by the West Coast culture and its timezone, which is officially known as Coordinated Universal Time Standard -8, the MINUS 8 timepiece is both stylish and smart.
Designed by Dana Krieger, an industrial designer is at branding/product design/strategy firm Astro Studios based in San Francisco, the MINUS 8 watch was definitely influenced by her own location. Although just a watch at the moment, MINUS 8 will be an entire brand that focuses on "the unique time and place of West Coast culture," according to Krieger herself.
