Simple black lines are able to capture the basic essence of several notable individuals in this collection of minimalist illustrations.

French graphic designer Dorian Legret skillfully expresses the iconic features of many recognizable faces by boiling them down to their very basic elements. His project 'Minimalistic Celebrities' was actually inspired by the 'Facebook Friends' series by designer Michael Nÿkamp that is a similar style of minimalist illustrations.

Several celebrities are simply yet skillfully portrayed by Legret for lasting effect. Actors like Kevin Spacey, George Clooney and Angelina Jolie all receive a black line minimalist makeover. Besides famous Hollywood icons, musicians like Jay-Z and the Daft Punk robots are drawn in a simple yet recognizable style, and even a few presidents also get creatively captured by only using a few black lines on a stark white backdrop.
