 Michael Arrington of TechCrunch Receives Death Threats, is Spat On Published: Jan 31, 09 Views: 1,478 TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington announced on Wednesday that he was taking a break from his blog after receiving a deluge of hostility. Arrington disclosed that he has received a number of death threats, but the hostility reached its crescendo at the Digital, Life, Design conference in Munich, where Arrington was spat upon by a conference attendee. Arrington published a post to alert his readers of his decision to halt his writing, and does not expect to return back to the blog until at least March.  “Whoever is the top blog will get attacked by everyone else and that’ll just be the way it is,” Arrington said. “We really need to think about, the community of bloggers, if we’re going to continue to slay our own for competitive reasons.”
