MacFarlane Toys, a toy brand founded by legendary comic book illustrator Todd McFarlane, has announced the launch of a new line of digital-only 'Spawn' figurines. For those unfamiliar, Spawn is one of McFarlane's most well-known comic books that centers around an antihero mercenary named Spawn.
According to the company, each digital collectible will be based on or packaged with a McFarlane Toys physical collectible. The firm says its objective is to transfer the quality and intricacy of its physical pieces into the digital realm.
"For 30 years, McFarlane Toys has led in high-quality, design-driven collectibles for some of the world's biggest brands," said McFarlane Toys via Twitter. “Today, we expand that legacy with McFarlane Toys Digital, the first AAA digital collectibles platform."
