Matte automotive finishes are on the cutting edge, as seen this year in the Lamborghini booth at the National American International Auto Show in Detroit. The luxury Italian sports car manufacturer showed three uber-cool models with the flat paint jobs.

The matte blue Lamborghini almost looks like an artist’s rendition with the aggressively surreal paint finish. This trend to the un-shiny look heightens the current drift away from shiny chrome wheels to a tougher black rim.
