Kiva Confections is a California-based not-for-profit collective that specializes in the creation of artisan confectionery goods that are infused with cannabis, including everything from decadent chocolate bars to refreshing matcha mints.

The brand's Petra Moroccan Mints blend cannabis, green tea matcha and peppermint extract with a hint of Tahitian vanilla to create a sugar-free alternative to other breath fresheners on the market. To achieve sweetness, the brand instead uses all-natural, plant-derived sweeteners such as stevia and xylitol.

Since there are 2.5 milligrams of THC in each mint, Kiva Confections describes that "Petra gives you the ability to titrate your dose in precise increments. This accuracy allow you to integrate Petra more easily into your active lifestyle." As such, the brand often refers to Petra as a "microdose mint" that discourages overdosing, while also encouraging balance and daily use of the product.
