Modern Times Beer, a San Diego-based craft brewery, roastery and tasting room, has launched a wonderfully wintry brew in the form of the 'Visible Ink Espresso Macaroon Stout,' a delicious brew that is well and truly designed for carefree wintertime sipping.
This macaroon stout is infused with a combination of vanilla, toasted coconut flakes and Modern Times' very own Idea Machine variety of coffee, leading to a beverage that offers a marvelous combination of caramel, coffee and biscuit notes.
Justin Holmes, new project manager over at Modern Times Beer, stated that the fact that this new macaroon stout comes in at six percent ABV stemmed from the desire to create a brew that pays tribute to the 'Monsters' Park Imperial Stout' while being easier to get down for casual stout drinkers. “Expect waves of coconut and coffee to grace your tasting palate, ending in a miraculous symphony of dark beer perfection," Holmes said.
