Tiago Pinto Replaces Brand Names with Lorem Ipsum Text

As frustrating as it is, designers are often put to the task of coming up with a branding concept before a product or company name is finalized, which is what inspired Tiago Pinto to swap out well-known brand names for lorem ipsum text.

In the series of Lorem Ipsum Branding, Pinto shows what a difference it makes when working with another name or series of letters. Recognizable logos like those of Facebook, Nike and Dunkin' Donuts suddenly seem a lot different when they're replaced with nonsensical text. A brand's color, font choice or symbols are often hugely helpful in identifying them, but as Pinto proves, by taking away the names themselves, some branding becomes completely unrecognizable.
