Lonely Glasses by Jessica Atkinson Provide Constant Companionship

Artist and designer Jess Atkinson of Toronto, Canada has come up with prototype, non-prescription ‘Lonely Glasses.’ The eyewear is intended to be an anti-lonely tool. When worn, dangling images are suspended within the wearer’s view to provide the feeling of being surrounded by people.

The one-of-a-kind design could be inspiration for a number of DIY projects: glasses with images of family, friends or pets could all provide relief from the separation anxiety one feels without an entourage. Those in need of encouragement could substitute affirmations. The possibilities are endless.
