Sergey Makhno revamped the Podil Loft Apartment in Kiev to open up the space and the raw materials of the building. He made the conscious decision of leaving the brick and metal channels exposed, protecting them with a polish, which sets the tone of the design.

The floors are covered with textured solid oak wood creating warmth throughout the space. Wooden slats are hung vertically on one of the walls to add additional texture, while concrete panels cover the far wall bringing in an industrial feature to the loft appeal.

The color palette remains neutral throughout the apartment, while subtle pops of color appear on bed duvets, lamps and furniture. The bathroom is also stunning with marble tiles and glass walls.
