The Toronto government has created an ad for the city’s bus shelters in an attempt to make a statement about energy consumption and promote the city’s resource on environmentally-friendly living, Live Green Toronto. These Live Green Toronto advertisements designed by Agency59 feature a gigantic working light switch that will turn a light on in the advertisement on or off.

Live Green Toronto hopes to make people recognize the importance about using electricity wisely by asking passerbys to turn the light off if they see it is on. As the Copyranter blog puts it, it inevitably ofers the irony of “wasting electricity to do Green advertising.”
