Guy Laramée is a creative artist that takes the pages of novels and transforms them into literary landscapes by carving the pages into mountains, rivers and natural formations. The works showcase the erosion that occurs over time due to cultural expansion in both the natural world as well as in the written form as society moves from print to digital mediums.

The sculptures feature antiquated novels that have been carved and sliced to depict various settings and natural landscapes. The works are made using older encyclopedias that are out of date that Laramée has carved away to reveal ever-changing mountains, clouds, fields, meadows erosions and different terrains. The works are then filled in with color to bring life into the landscapes, while they remain contained within the pages of the books
