With the controversial events that surrounded the American election, it's no surprise that brands, creatives and more have taken the time to convey their opinions on it all, which these 2016 political trends illustrate. Those interested in exploring more innovation products and campaigns like these are likely to benefit from Trend Hunter's Future Festival as well.

In reference to Donald Trump's discriminatory remarks against Muslims, Mexicans and women, Sagmeister & Walsh designed a series of colorful pins to allow those voting against him to express themselves. These accessories featured the republican as a troll, a voodoo doll and even a toy potato head.

Rapper Pusha T stepped in as well, launching a line of graphic t-shirts in support of Hillary Clinton. Also featured in these 2016 political trends are humorous meme generators, sexism-fighting playing cards, nominee-themed milkshakes and useful bias-recognizing news apps.
