Lina Bertucci's 'Women in the Tattoo Subculture' photo series is a very interesting piece of work. The title is self-explanatory, but Lina Bertucci's content is very thought-provoking.
Lina Bertucci focuses on women for whom tattoos are more than just a form of self-expression, but a way of life. Not only are the photos great, but I really dig the fact that she listed the ages and occupations of the subjects.
Implications - Tattoos' popularity has transcended its subculture beginnings and is now readily accessible to consumers of all backgrounds. In particular, females have now come to embrace tattoos and denote the act of getting a tattoo as empowering. Corporations may consider capitalizing on the popularity of tattoos by utilizing product designs which feature artwork by tattoo artists.
