With a corporate office based in Andhra Pradesh, India, LifeSpring is a social enterprise and maternity hospital that serves lower-income women and children in the country through safe and affordable services. The organization was founded in 2005 as part of a collaboration between Acumen Fund and HLL Lifecare Limited, the latter of which is owned by the government of India.

"LifeSpring Hospitals, a privately owned company, is increasing access to maternal health care for low-income Indian women in partnership with Business Call to Action, a global initiative that works to motivate businesses to design responsible investments that help to achieve the Millennium Development Goals," writes Global Hand: The Partnership People on the social enterprise's global mission in conjunction with the United Nations.
