Smart watches have been slowly integrating themselves into the mainstream for the past couple years and even more so in the past few months; the Leap Band is the kid friendly entrant into the industry. Smart watches come in a variety of shapes, sizes and functions; the Leap Band is mirroring the fitness bands that have been released by Nike and their competitors.

The purpose of the Leap Band is strange because it's an electronic that is trying to pry children away from electronics. What the Leap Band does is informs kids about healthy eating, exercise and healthy living as a whole with a Tamagotchi-like creature on the screen. The purpose is to keep children involved and engaged. It also helps that it acts like an electronic, which is important for kids to learn in today's world.
