Lavanda is a new laundry on-demand service currently having launched in the Central London region with an aim to be the "Uber for laundry." The start-up will roll out native iOS and Android apps in the coming months, in addition to expanding the service to the rest of London and the entire United Kingdom.

Lavanda employs sustainable, eco-friendly practices and will be taking special requests, like starching cuffs and collars, through its bespoke service promise. Lavanda also boasts job-creation qualities, as the expansion will surely see a need for more local launderers to engage with the company, which even offers training and equipment.

Lavanda is likely an early example of digital services disrupting the traditional model by providing cost-efficient, tailored services that are automated through an app.
