Lada Brings Cool New Design to the Geneva Motor Show (GALLERY)

The Russian car manufacturer, AvtoVAZ, the producer of the Lada brand, has not been known for the coolest of cars. However, their new Lada C is a hip and realistic concept car which is expected to make it to European shops in 2009.

Critics say it is too much like the new VW Scirocco in design at the front, the knobs being from VW Jetta (like VW ever was a good designer of knobs!!!), and the rear is very similar to the Fiat Stilo. Personally, I don’t care. Of course you can find similarities with other new cars. It would be bad if you couldn’t. And this is exactly how the Korean cars have been building their brands, they imitate the best in design to sell, and the more they sell, the more they can improve the quality. So let’s just hope the quality is improving just as much at Lada. At least, they say the car is supposed to pass the emission and collision test in the European markets. So for a Lada - this is a very innovative car!
