This chair and footrest by designer Henry Sgourakis is an exploration into knits and weaves and arts and crafts. The intricately webbed chair resembles a spiderweb or a dreamcatcher.
At it’s heart, the knits and weaves chair is a contemporary take on the arts and crafts that are normally considered tacky, like doilies. The flexible webbing that makes up the body of the chair is probably a slightly elasticized nylon. We wonder how comfortable the chair is and if it would be a cozy knitting nook.
