Day Nursery is the name of this minimalist kindergarten space by Takeshi Yamagata Architects. The sophisticated kid's space is free from the cluttered toys and colorful wall murals one associates with a traditional Day Care and instead embraces an aesthetic of clean and modern simplicity.

The all-white interior is fitted with organic wood furnishings, linear storage units and room dividers that don't obstruct light. The two storey kindergarten space is located in Nakanosakaue, a suburb of Tokyo. This Japanese Day Care design defies tradition and encourages the production of vitamin D with their sun-kissed design.

This open space relies on natural light and illustrates the importance of a bright and clutter-free concept when designing for young minds that are rapidly evolving.
