Taking cosplay to a more aggressive level, an Otaku kickboxer, Youichirou Jienotsu Nagashima, crushed his opponent after entering the ring as cosplay character Hatsune Miku! In previous bouts, the bone-breaker appeared as Haruhi and a Sailor moon cosplay character. The cosplay kickboxing outfit was an officially sanctioned event by the New Japan Kickboxing Federation. In the tournament, the anime bladder buster endured 11 bouts and knocked out his victims seven times.  Unsurprisingly, though nonetheless disappointingly, the ota-boxer did not fight in costume – this is doubtless unavoidable if we consider the problems inherent in cosplay boxing, though surely there is an untapped niche there.
His supporters distinguish themselves by cheering him with cries of otsu,... slang for “otsukaresama”, or well done. Indeed, he seems quite the 2channer, enthusiastically employing a variety of specialist 2ch language.
