As the first installment of 'The Hunger Games' trilogy continues to dominate in theatres, Mattel has revealed its upcoming Katniss Everdeen Barbie doll in honor of Jennifer Lawrence's starring heroine.
The Katniss Barbie will be available in stores in August 2012, but it can already be pre-ordered online. The Katniss Barbie is outfitted in what she appears in during the Games portion of the film, dawning her boots and cargo pants, a miniature mockingjay pin and her signature braid, and is armed with a bow and arrow.
Designer Bill Greening says he chose Katniss' outfit from the Games because it would be most recognizable to fans and is the costume which sees the most action-packed portion of the exciting flick.
