Dutch designer Joost Goudriaan has transformed a regular park bench into a luxurious upholstered lounger. When you think of a park bench, you can usually picture concrete slats or weather-beaten wooden planks. This installation by the Dutch designer in Chesterfield Park, however, turns the humble park bench into a luxurious loungers that could be up for sale in a designer store.

The bench, which is hand finished to the highest quality complete with rivets, has been designed to deter vandals. It will certainly be interesting to see if the designers project works. I definitely think that people would think twice about vandalizing something that's so visually pleasing.

With its fine leather finish and padded seat, this seat looks considerably more comfortable than a traditional park bench. Stats for Upholstered Park Benches Trending: Older & Mild
