These ads for the Active Life Movement use iconic children’s toys to get their tagline out to parents to “Keep obesity away from your child.” I do agree that the images used certainly catch your attention, and we can laugh at the overweight toys, but are they the real cause for children gaining weight? I don’t think so.
The Barbie ad will probably raise debates just like the Jessica Simpson weight stories on what is considered a “normal” weight. The ads were created by advertising agency Latinworks, Austin, USA with creative direction by Sergio Alcocer, Diego Castillo, Lewis Sempertegui, and Daslav Maslov.
