Born and raised in Detroit, Jerry N. Uelsmann studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology and then went on to earn his M.S. and M.F.A. at Indiana University. Teaching photography at the University of Florida, he has since put together an impressive oeuvre that has earned him much notoriety in the photography world.
