The life cycle of gadgets, namely phones, can be very short. Merely a couple of months after people were camping and lining up in the hope of getting their hands on an iPhone 3G, we bring you a gallery of shattered iPhones and crushed dreams.

Flickr user magerleagues has somehow managed to capture numerous iPhone 3G pieces going through a phase of disassembly.

I think it is rather poetic to see the device that got the media and people so obsessed about it, end up pretty useless and valueless upon being dropped on the pavement.
