When it comes to getting fit, most people instantly think of weight loss, however that's exactly what one Instagram fitness blogger is looking to change the idea of. In order to depict that being healthy and happy doesn't necessary mean seeing a decrease in the number on the scale, Kelsey Wells posts informative images for her followers to see.
With this picture progression, the Instagram fitness blogger shows that someone's personal achievements shouldn't be relative to a number. Kelsey Wells explained her own idea of this by saying "I weighed 130 before getting pregnant, so based on nothing besides my own warped perception, I decided my 'goal weight' should be 122 and to fit into my skinniest jeans."
Once she started working out for enjoyment however, she noticed that she began to gain weight as she increased her muscle mass. In documenting her fitness progression, Kelsey Wells is looking to change the often damaging media narrative that tells young women they need to weigh less.
