The HouseWING by AnLstudio Recreates an Aging and Compact Dwelling
Jana Pijak — September 14, 2012 — Art & Design
The HouseWING by AnLstudio features a futuristic design concept created to solve a office space dilemma. This space is home to a live-work artist who wished to merge his work and dwelling environment.
Seoul and New York-based design firm AnLstudio renovated the artist’s 45-year-old apartment implementing the space with a streamlined angular element resembling a wing.
This element moves throughout the sleek living space, creating interesting spatial views while serving as a counter space for dining, working or storage. The renovation of this 69-sq-m space maximizes the compact interior making it not only modern and striking but also extremely functional.
The HouseWING by AnLstudio recreates an aged dwelling infusing it with a contemporary edge and functional design concept. The interior’s main angular element wraps around the space serving as a multi-functional structural and spatial element that also acts as a built-in furniture piece.
