This set of modular honeycomb cubbies is yet another example of how 3D printing technology is facilitating customization and reshaping the human environment. Manufactured by Bold Machines and dreamed up by a duo at Simplus Design, this contemporary storage unit has a flexibility and an aesthetic appeal that together have the capacity to transform living spaces.

The sturdy individual components of the SuperMod shelf enable the organically arranged structure to maintain stability anywhere. The hexagonal prisms can be stacked up to serve collectively as an effective partition in an open-plan room, or they can be built up to cover walls. The user has the choice of organizing the white and red units in any pattern, leaving gaps throughout to create greater space for larger books and decorations.
