The 'Hipmunk Me!' Campaign Turns the User into a Mascot

The Internet travel and flight-search site Hipmunk has developed a Facebook application for its creative 'Hipmunk Me!' campaign.

The 'Hipmunk Me!' campaign, created with the help of artist Ashlee Perkins from Reddit, is simple; the user is required to "Like" the Hipmunk Facebook fan page between 10 am to 10 pm EST on April 6. Then, on the fan page's wall, the Facebook user must write their favorite travel destination (anywhere in the world) and the words "Hipmunk Me!"

Perkins will then generate an image of the user as a Hipmunk based on his or her Facebook profile photo. The 'Hipmunk Me!' campaign is a unique social media tool and campaign that encourages interaction with consumers.
