Google and Renault Work Together on a New Digital Car

Google and Renault are working together to create a new software-defined vehicle that is based on the Android Automotive OS system. It works towards the goal to deliver "new on-demand services and continuous upgrades to be delivered to the car," using Google as the "preferred cloud provider."
In order to push forward the development of the system, the duo is working on the "Digital Twin," which is a virtual iteration of the software car. Through this, it uses innovative artificial intelligence features to allow more seamless integration of the different services and features of the car. This also invites more In-Car services that are new onboard and offboard applications as well. The companies states that it'll also allow "continuous upgrades to be delivered to the car."
