Fresh City is a Toronto-Based Social Enterprise

Founded by activist Ran Goel, Fresh City Farms is a social enterprise working in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its goal is to offer fresh, local, organic and healthy food and produce, something with unique challenges in an urban environment like Toronto. The team currently partners with Downsview Park -- its farming hub -- and Black Creek Community Farm in order to offer its products, food boxes.

Food boxes are becoming increasingly popular in light, too, of the growth of community supported agriculture or CSAs. More specifically, this social enterprise delivers produce either weekly or bi-weekly in reusable wooden boxes. The featured video explains the way it works in detail.
