Flogging is a new teen dance sensation that could become more popular with youth than Dancing With the Stars has become with adults. Do you know about Flogging? I didn’t know about Flogging, except in the pirate sense (being whipped as punishment). Flogging is a dance craze in Argentina that is making its way to the U.S. Like most trends among teenagers, there is a right way to act, dress and even to pose for photos.

Blackbook.com lists the requirement:

a) Tight, colorful skinny jeans

b) Straightened, long hair hanging over one eye

c) Dancing all spastic to electro beats

d) Posing for photos covering their mouths

e) Worshiping this adorable little androgynous munchkin called Cumbio

f) Carrying around expensive, tricked out cell phones

g) Posting images doing all of the above on the popular social networking site that gives them their name.

Flogging is the Argentinean Version of European Jumping (VIDEO)
The ‘Flogging’ dance craze in Argentina reminds me of Jumping, its hardcore electronic music equivalent, and the Melbourne Shuffle, its equivalent in Australia. Check out the video above of some guys getting down to some eardrum-splitting music (you can mute the music, just watch them jump around).
