'The River Den' is the name of a floating tiny house that sits on the Gatineau River in Quebec that was hand-built to provide mobile and affordable accommodation.

The interior of the small-scale houseboat features all of the comforts of home and is insulated to survive Canada's four seasons. The floating tiny house is currently listed on Airbnb, which means that travelers can rent out the space for a memorable temporary stay.

As rent becomes extremely unaffordable in many regions of the world, many creative consumers are experimenting with alternative living arrangements such as live-in van conversions and tiny houses that will let them experience the joys of property ownership without the burdens of debt.
