Green Giant Opts-In for a Microwaveable and Resealable Packaging

"Prominent vegetable brand" Green Giant has shifted to a more flexible frozen food packaging that utilizes the new PrimaPak technology. The move promises more convenience for consumers and "a remarkable 20-65% in weight savings over traditional food packaging," ultimately improving efficiency in the supply chain.

The state-of-the-art packaging is formed on a specifically outfitted machine. The film is specifically designed for steam cooking in a microwave. Aside from being extremely convenient for consumers with busy lifestyles, the Green Giant PrimaPak also works to reduce the carbon footprint of the company, adding another important benefit tied to sustainability. The design of the flexible frozen food packaging makes it completely resealable and semi-rigid. It will accommodate Green Giant's latest food product—veggie spirals.
