Firefox celebrated surpassing the 500 million download mark with a campaign to raise 500,000,000 grains of rice in one day to help feed the world’s poor. 500 million grains of rice is enough to feed 25,000 people for one day. Donations can be made at http://freerice.com.

A free browser celebrates like this, makes you think how big shots like Apple, Microsoft and Sony should celebrate when their expensive gadgets reach millions of purchases. Food for thought.
