It’s already the beginning of August and while temperatures are still soaring, it’s time to start planning for the next season.

That doesn’t have to be depressing. This season is full of killer trends that will leave you feeling sunny, even when the leaves begin to fall.

Just make sure to hit the malls early – once the weather gets chillier it will be bustling with last-minute back-to-school shoppers.

Details – Whether its ruffles, pleats or pearls, little accents make all the difference. “At Christian Dior, origami-like cranes emerged from the hem of a party dress.” Its fun little embellishments that make autumn attire so fun!

Global Influences – Multicultural looks at Anna Sui, Jean Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga and Vivienne Westwood let you take your body on a world tour, with looks inspired by the Middle East, Far East and East Coast.

Gray – The black for this season, the neutral shade pairs well with almost anything, and all shades are hot, from pale silvery hues to deep charcoal. “Gray was many designers’ color of choice for everything from coats to day dresses to evening wear.”
