50 Cent Throws Funeral for Fat Joe

Leveraging the power of his online community, 50 Cent hosted a fake funeral for Fat Joe.  In the video, 50 Cent makes fun of Fat Joe’s relatively poor album sales.  He actually cries, “Fat Joe just passed away.  Soundscan came out and he sold like 46,000 copies.”

50 Cent has long mocked his rivals, including Fat Joe.  What makes his mockery so powerful is the fact that Fifty can leverage his million MySpace friends, 160,000 community members and millions of video viewers.

It’s also clever that 50 Cent arms his followers with facts, “The results are in, Elephant In The Sand (50’s latest mixtape) wins by a landslide. [It’s at] 400,000 copies downloaded. On ThisIs50.com, a staggering 220,000 downloaded there and if you don’t believe me, you can go check yourself and see it. It’s a fact.”
