The Elie Saab Spring Haute Couture 2010 runway was full of whimsical gowns floating down the catwalk. Light and soft beiges, blues and yellows made of chiffons and lace were the majority of looks presented at the show. The collection featured mini draped dresses and long flowing gowns with incredible trains. Hairstyles of the night were side-swept bangs and fairytale braids. Implications - Consumers are increasingly looking for exciting forms of escapism. This stems from the hyper-rational order of city living. Companies can foster a deeper connection with this demographic by creating the circumstances for them to engage with their imaginative faculties in new ways.
