Violent Crystal Design - Domestic Violence: Golden Edition (GALLERY)

No, this is not a PSA against abuse or scenes from a scary movie. This is the latest kitchenware design by Koncern Design Studio for Czech Rückl Crystal, which was showcased at Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan 2008.
The motivation behind Domestic Violence - Golden Edition is dealing with the consequences and aftermath of domestic violence. The issue is reflected in the design of the crystal pieces.
The collection consists of “red wine glass and carafe, martini glass, cocktail glass, vase and lustre all made of gilded 24% lead crystal and a golden meat-chopper.”
I still have a scar on my finger from a Czech bohemian crystal glass that I broke when I was 16, so I can only say, OUCH!
