MTV used to stand for Music Television, and Total Request Live (TRL) was the music countdown program that launched a thousand careers. Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and N’Sync all got a big boost when they appeared on TRL, but now, TRL is no more. It’s canceled.

The Executive Producer said it was time to move MTV to a different direction.

The final show will be a two hour special on Saturday in November.

Lol...music television has been dead ever since "Reality" shows started taking over. During the eighties, there was much less talking and many more videos. :-)
