The Loopd System Provides Customer Analytics Through Wearable Technology

This wearable device and customer analytics platform is intended to help people become event marketing leaders. The smart badge is supposed to replace business cards, brochures and similar information formats at conferences. Loopd works as a lanyard around the neck and tracks movement. This allows marketers to review interactions and offer additional content.

The Loopd customer analytics system has three parts: beacons, a chip and an app. Beacons are placed around the conference venue so the Loopd chip can send data to them. The app lets attendees check where they were in the event space, who they interacted with nearby and access content like PDFs and links. Metrics are also available in the form of traffic flow heat maps and demographics for marketers, who can provide the extra content.
