Mattel, Inc announced its new Creatable World product line today, aiming to offer inclusive dolls that allow for hours of personalized fun. The Creatable World customizable doll kits encourage endless combinations and feature a gender-neutral doll along with various outfit and accessory options.
Targeting consumers 6 and older, the customizable doll kits also allow kids to experiment with long or short hair looks and encourage creative play that is free from boundaries. “Toys are a reflection of culture and as the world continues to celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity, we felt it was time to create a doll line free of labels,” said Kim Culmone, Senior Vice President of Mattel Fashion Doll Design.
Addressing children's growing desire from gender-neutral toys, Mattel Inc encourages inclusive play and brought its idea to life with the help of various experts including psychologists, parents and children. The Creatable World collection features six kits to choose from and promotes diversity with dolls of different ethnicities and personal styles. Each doll kit will be priced at $39.99 and can be purchased at Mastermid, at select major retailers and online.
