The 'Couch in an Envelope' has been conceptualized by the SPACE10 design studio and Panter&Tourron as a sustainable furniture solution that prioritizes a truly modern, eco-friendly aesthetic. The couch imagines a piece of furniture that addresses many of the problems in the industry today including sustainability, ease of moving and more. The project was developed with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) which was provided with a series of prompts to get a new perspective to go off of.
The 'Couch in an Envelope' weighs in at 10-kilograms and could be easily brought home before being set up for use in a living space thanks to its packaging. The couch itself is crafted using aluminum, mycelium foam and cellulose-based yarns and fabrics to give the entire piece a 100% recyclable profile.
