Implications - Ostracizing someone for being overweight has always been openly rejected, but the issue of ridicule for an underweight individual is hardly ever spoken of. Customers with a slimmer figure need to feel like there are specific products marketed towards them as well. Developing products that are targeted towards the more lean can result in a greater following for a company which had previously failed to focus on this demographic.
