The ‘Cloudbridge’ designed by Arturo Tedeschi (A>T) was inspired by the airy 2013 Serpentine Pavilion created by Sou Fujimoto and of course, clouds.
Although the most direct way to get from point A to point B might be a direct path, it is not always the most interesting one. And when you’re crossing between two gigantic natural formations, sometimes its worth the time to get lost in your surroundings.
The interesting design from A>T was created from a particular algorithm that looks like a pixelated cloud. The Cloudbridge is made from a modular steel frame and supported by a main beam. Instead of travelling straight through the bridge, people are required to meander through it. A>T’s unusual concept is simple, but it has the potential to be adapted for any mountainous setting.
